The safety and well-being of McDonald’s people and customers is our top priority. To help create a safe experience for everyone, we have enhanced our high standards of cleanliness and introduced a number of additional measures and changes to our restaurants.
To help us ensure that the new measures we have in place are right for our people, McDonald’s UK & Ireland commissioned NSF to independently validate our processes. NSF is a global, independent organisation that protects human health by facilitating the development of public health and safety standards and providing certification and testing services.
As part of the work to reopen our estate across the UK and Ireland, NSF has reviewed and assessed all of our COVID-19 processes and procedures. Working with our on-site and remote teams to ensure our processes meet government and public health guidance, NSF experts have:
1. Visited a number of restaurants and drive-thrus to provide advice on the ground as new processes were being tested and developed – additional visits will be taking place to help ensure our teams are following the new standards that have been introduced.
2. Supported McDonald’s UK & Ireland with the development of new training materials which have been used with all employees returning to work.
Our people and our customers can be reassured that our processes have been independently validated and will continue to be under review for the safety and the well-being of all those who work in or visit our restaurants.
