Vice President Operator Diversity and Ombudsman, McDonald's USA
As a McDonald’s veteran with 40+ years in the system, William “Bill” Lowery currently serves as Vice President of Operator Diversity and Ombudsman. Bill brings a tremendous amount of leadership, expertise, and insight to his current position supporting Owner/Operators with particular focus on our diversity networks: AMOA, MHOA, MOOPN, NBMOA, and WON.
Before he was chosen for this role, Bill excelled as US Vice President for McDonald’s in Walmart and Northeast Tollways, where he was responsible for approximately 800 McDonald’s in Walmart locations and 34 thruway locations in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Under his leadership, the “McDonald’s in Walmart” brand saw significant performance improvement and profitability through sustained growth in sales, capture rate, and exceptional customer service. He was also responsible for leading the implementation of McDonald’s in Walmart strategies and nationally-sponsored initiatives.
Prior to Field First, Bill also served as Vice President and General Manager in the New York Metro Region where he was recognized as an outstanding trendsetter for managing the merger of McDonald’s New York Metro and Bedminster Regions into the McDonald’s New York Metro Region. Bill also proved himself to be a true leader through supporting the McDonald’s Family and New York Community during the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
On a personal note, Bill and his wife, Johnna, are actively involved in their church and community service. They are also the proud parents to sons, Zachary and Benjamin, and daughter, Olivia.
